Makeup Revolution ultra blush palette – Hot Spice

Lot’s of times drugstore products don’t end up in my basket because they’re just not pigmented enough. Not sure if that is a plus or not with blushes, but Makeup Revolution Hot Spice palette definitively belongs into pigmented category. And considering it costs 9 EUR it’s firmly in “not pricey” range.

First thing that caught my eye was durable packaging. I have no calms about traveling with this palette as I’m pretty sure it wont crack/break … In drugstore price range that is more of an exception than a rule. It fits into my hand, but then again I do have very large hands so I’m not good comparison. You get 6 blushes and 3 baked highlighters in plastics packaging with large mirror.

Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Hot Spice sunThree blushes do contain shimmer but I kind of don’t see it on my face. There is no huge difference in the “shine” factor among matte/satin or shimmery ones. Maybe I don’t put enough of product on the brush or I use brushes which don’t pick up shimmer well. In any case, I love the fact that Hot Spice blushes look more satin on me. Only thing that bothered me was not so great staying power. But then again, I usually have to pay a lot more to get good lasting power on my super oily skin.

And then comes the shocker – I like highlight the most. Truthfully I almost always use this palette just for the lightest highlighter. Didn’t I just tell you that I prefer not shimmery things?
But I can’t help myself – it makes my skin nice and glowy and young … But it’s not glitter or “in your face” shiny.

>Now if Makeup Revolution added cool brown shade in this palette, I would use it all the time. I know, I know – it’s a blush palette. But if they put highlighter in it, I’m being greedy and want shading color too.
