My first “beauty box”

What can I say, all the interesting ones do not ship to Slovenia, so my first beauty box had to wait for a while to be chosen. :D For those of you who are unfamiliar with the “box” phenomenon – you buy surprise box without (usually) knowing anything about it. You get at least one full sized product and rest are either smaller sized or baggie testers.

Only one that I liked and was available to me was Lookfantastic Beauty Box. So I pre-ordered December one. What did I get? There were 7 products hiding inside the box:

  1. Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil 15ml
  2. Murad Essential-C Cleanser 45ml
  3. Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel 15ml
  4. Lord&Berry Silk Kajal 2g
  5. Macadamia Healing Oil Infused Comb
  6. Bourjois Intense Smoky trio in Violet Constelle
  7. Gold Collagen 1x50ml bottle

First 4 I’m exited to try out, but last three are fail in my eyes. I love Bourjois as a brand, but their eyeshadows are just not good. Comb is a comb and nothing I would jump up and down about. If they included small sample size of any of the other Macadamia products, I would be excited. And I’m not even sure how to convey my amazement over food supplement which needs I believe 3 more doses to do it’s magic … or at least for you to judge if it does anything for you. Again – one tea bag and it would be cheaper for them and I would have loveed to try out new blend.

As I adore Ole Henriksen Truth Serum I started with their oil. So far I tested it on my hand and no irritations occurred. Next step – apply it after serum on dry patches. I’ll keep you updated how did that go and if I liked any of the other products.

Will I ordered another Beauty Box from Lookfantastic.com? Without seeing the content first? Not sure. It still costs around 20 EUR and it will really depend on my mood if I decide to get any of the 2015 ones. I won’t say that I’m dissapointed as I’m not. I’ll get to try out 4 products that look promising and if even one becomes regular, it was worth it.

What do you think? Was this good box or totally not for you?

  1. I’ve already received 2 and ordered another one Memebox. They are exciting to try since they usually contain korean skincare brands. Greek boxes are usually very dissappointing. This is a nice one because you have some well-known skincare brands + make up but I think it’s kinda pricey for €20.
