First Illamasqua’s collection for this year is already here! They launched it in celebration of Saint Valentine and named it Throb.
Collection is already available on their web site and consists of:

• nail polishes: Throb, Scorn, Load (~16 EUR);
• lipstick: Sangers (~18 EUR);
• intense lipgloss: Succubus (~15,5 EUR).

I do not care much about Valentine’s Day, but red color … still my favorite shade. :wub:

When Maestra and I saw the promo photos we couldn’t stop admiring the make-up on the model in below picture. But when Parokeets ladies got Throb polish and Sangers for review, our jaws drooped to the floor … at least mine did. :biggrin:

Did anybody else drool over this artsy and imaginative piece of make-up work? :drop:

Of course I had to try out the polish first. As you probably already figured out, I’m quite picky person. :blush: I do not even have to try to find little mistakes in a products or put nicer – see what can be improved. :biggrin: But Throb gets perfect score in my book. It’s almost like they made this polish with my dream specifications in mind: fantastic coverage (you can use only one layer), thick (but not too thick), “bloody” red shade … :wub: But even-though I like the color, it’s the formula I fell in love with. :stars:

Do not ask me about undertone of this polish. I honestly have no clue whether it is cool or warm shade of red. I saw everything from lighter red to darker, almost brownish red in this polish. I told Maestra that I was becoming color blind. She comforted me me then it must be neutral shade. Maybe that is it … and not me becoming color blind. :w00t:

Her is the how Throb looked the next day in cloudy weather. See the almost non existent tip wear? Don’t worry if you do not see it … it is really minimal. :silly:

I used 2 layers + top coat.

Finish is glossy creme, but I worked hard at capturing the realistic shade of this polish (if there is such a thing) that capturing “glossines” had to take backseat. :hmm:

Sangers has the honor to be the first lipstick I swatched on my lips (so please be kind in your comments :biggrin: ). I did not use lip liner in the swatch because I wanted to show you only the lipstick without distracting factors.

Finish is really funky – almost matte, but with slight sheen. It applies beautifully, stays where you put it and has quite good staying power. I wore it for couple of hours and it still looked fine. It is not nurishing or moisturising but it does not dry out lips either. Smell is not overpowering.

I do not wear red lipstick a lot (like almost never), but I love this formula. I’m already browsing through their store and adding more “me” shades on WL.  :lips:

Prva letošnja kolekcija pri Illamasqui je v znamenju Valentinovega. Poimenovali so jo Throb. Kolekcija je že naprodaj v njihovi internetni trgovini in vsebuje:

• lake za nohte: Throb, Scorn, Load (~16 EUR);
• šminko: Sangers (~18 EUR);
• glos: Succubus (~15,5 EUR).

Valentinovo zaradi mene če je ali pa ga ni, ampak rdeča barva … še vedno moj najljubši odtenek. :wub:

Že ko sva z Maestro gledali promo material, nisva mogli nehati občudovati krasno naličenega modela na spodnji fotografiji. Ko pa smo Parokeetke dobile za review lak Throb in šminko Sangers, so nam pa skoraj oči padle iz jamic … vsaj meni. :biggrin:

Je še katera navdušena nad domiselno in umetelno naličenim modelom? :drop:

Seveda sem se najprej zakadila v lak. Kot ste verjetno že ugotovile, sem zelo izbirčna oseba. :blush: Ne da bi se morala posebej potruditi, pri vsaki stvari najdem  “napakico” oz. lepše rečeno, možnosti za izboljšavo. :biggrin: Ampak Throb dobi pri meni vse možne točke. Kot da bi ga delali točno po mojih specifikacijah: prekriven (lahko uporabite samo 1 plast), gost (a ne pregost), “krvava” rdeča … :wub: In čeprav je barva je res krasna, vendar je formula laka tista, ki me je najbolj navdušila. :stars:

Glede odtenka vam lahko povem samo eno zadevo – gre za globoko rdečo barvo. Topla, hladna? Nimam pojma. :silly: Samo da sem se obrnila, je lak dobil drugačen podton. Če sem bila eno minuto prepričana, da je odtenek toplejše rdeče barve, se je naslednji trenutek prikazala češnjevo rdeča, pod slabšo svetlobo pa že skoraj rjavkasto rdeča. Ko sem potožila Maestri, da sem barvo slepa, mi je odgovorila, da je gre verjetno za nevtralen odtenek. Mogoče pa res. :w00t:

Takole je Throb izgledal naslednji dan na dnevni svetlobi. Na obeh fotografijah sta dve plasti + nadlak.

Finiš je glosi, vendar je moj fotoaparat ujel samo (pre)svetel in toplejši odtenek rdeče, tako da sem se kar fino namatrala, preden sem dobila kolikor-toliko realno barvo (če tale odtenek sploh ima realno barvo). :fju:

Sangers ima to čast, da je prva šminka, ki sem jo poswatchala na ustnicah (zato bodite prosim prizanesljive :biggrin: ). Na swatchu je prikazana samo šminka, brez obrobe, ker sem vam želela čim bolj nazorno prikazati samo šminko.

Finiš je zelo hecen – skoraj mat, a se malo svetlika. Nanaša se lepo in ostane na mestu (se ne razliva), zelo lepo se jo da slojiti. Ni hranilna, ne vlažilna, a niti ne izsušuje. Presenetljivo je tudi dokaj obstojna. Vonj ni moteč.

Rdeče šminke ne nosim prav pogosto (beri: skoraj nikoli), vendar mi je struktura šminke zelo všeč. Že poželjivo pogledujem po ostalih odtenkih in delam WL. :lips:
