BB Couture For Nails

Finally I have pictures of BB Couture polishes for you.

Dragon’s Breath has a red-purple base with lots of silver, blue and red glitter. Two coats in the picture.

Frosty Meadow has a green jelly base with lots of gold-green glitter, which is similar to the one in Dragon’s Heart. Frosty Meadow went on a bit sheer. I mean, I managed to go away with just two coats but you’ll probably need three. Two coats in the picture.

Sea Of Cortez has a jelly blue base and lots of light green glitter. This glitter again is similar to the glitter in the polishes shown above. This shade is the most sheer out of all three shown here, so I needed three coats to make it opaque.

All these shades are stunning! :wub: The jelly base and the glitter is a winning combo. I mean, the nails with these polishes on sparkle like crazy in the sun. I love it! The consistency on these three polishes was a bit runny, but I didn’t have any difficulties applying them. The brush has a “regular” shape and is soft. I mean, I usually prefer the regular brushes over the flat and wide ones, so I loved the BB brush. The bottle alone isn’t anything special, but it’s functional and I quite like it. I have to stress out that the bottle contains 18ml (0,6 Oz.) of “the good stuff”, which is a lot. The price at Overall Beauty is $9. Kim (the owner) from Overall Beauty was very kind and informed me about every step of my order and delivery. I’m very satisfied with the customer service at Overal Beauty, although they spelled my last name a bit wrong and also the address on the package was wrong. Luckily the postman already knows me, so the package found its way to me. Although I leave in the biggest city in the country and its not usually the case that the postman knows all of the people on his route. So I was very lucky to get my goodies!

I really don’t like to write about the wear time of the polishes as I change my manicure on a daily basis, but I was a bit disappointed about BB Coutures, because Frosty Meadow and Dragon’s Heart chipped within one day on the “hardest working” nails.

The drying time on these is average. Nothing spectacular here.

These polishes are supposed to be 4-in-1. I quote from Overall Beauty site…

This formula will knock your socks off! It’s a 4-in-one with base coat, top coat, nail strengthener and color in one bottle.

Whatever they say, I’ll always use my base and top coat. Maybe the base coat extended the drying time. I don’t know, but as I wrote before, I’ll NEVER use colors like these without a base coat. And I seriously doubt that the wear time would be better without the base and top coat. :think: But I’ll never know. :biggrin:

I was positively surprised when removing these polishes. I mean, for so much glitter, the removing is super easy and fast. :w00t:

Z malo zamude imam danes za vas fotografije treh lakov za nohte, ki sem vam jih na hitro pokazala pred dvema dnevoma (KLIK).

Dragon’s Breath ima vijolično rdečo “jelly” osnovo in veliko srebrnega, rdečega in modrega šimra. Šimer je malo večji in bi ga skoraj lahko že imenovala bleščice. Na fotografiji sta dve plasti.

Frosty Meadow ima zeleno “jelly” osnovo in polno zlato-zelenega šimra, ki je podoben kot v odtenku Dragon’s Breath. Ta odtenek je nekoliko prosojen. Meni ga je uspelo nanesti v dveh nanosih, vendar bosta dve plasti verjetno marsikomu premalo in bo rabil še tretjo plast.

Sea Of Cortez ima svetlo modro “jelly” osnovo in veliko svetlo zelenega šimra, ki je enak kot pri zgornjih dveh odtenkih. Ta odtenek je od vseh treh najbolj prosojen. Za popolno prekrivnost sem potrebovala tri plasti.

Vsi trije odtenki so noro lepi! :wub: Najbolj mi je všeč kombinacija “jelly” osnove in bleščic, ki na soncu kar zaživijo. Konsistenca vseh treh je med bolj tekočimi, vendar vseeno nisem imela težav pri nanašanju. Čopič je “navaden” in ravno prav mehek, da je z njim enostavno manevrirati. Sama steklenička ni nič posebnega. Izgleda kvalitetno narejena in funkcionalna. Vredno je še enkrat omeniti, da je vsebina izredno radodarna, saj steklenička vsebuje kar 18ml laka, kar je res ogromno. Cena za en lak je $9 pri Overall Beauty. Poštnina za vse tri lake je bila $8. Kim (lastnica) iz Overall Beauty me je ves čas obveščala, kakšno je stanje mojega naročila. Skratka, z Overall Beauty sem zelo zadovoljna, čeprav so na pošiljko narobe napisali moj priimek in moj naslov. :roll: K sreči me poštar že pozna in je paket vseeno našel do mene. :w00t:

O obstojnosti nerada pišem in te lake sem zaenkrat premalo preizkusila, da bi lahko kaj konkretnega napisala. Moja prva izkušnja je bila takšna, da sta se mi tako Dragon’s Heart kot tudi Frosty Meadow v prvem dnevu rahlo okrušila na najbolj “obremenjenih” nohtih.

Pri Scrangie sem prebrala, da naj bi se sušili hitro. Hmm, jaz tega ne bi izpostavila, ker so bili čisto povprečni.

Karkoli že piše, jaz barvnih lakov nikoli ne uporabljam brez podlaka in nadlaka.  Morda je uporaba podlaka podaljšala sušenje. Kaj pa vem, a kot sem že napisala, brez podlaka NIKOLI ne bom nosila takšnih barv. Prav tako dvomim, da je obstojnost lakov kaj boljša brez uporabe pod- in nadlaka. A tega pač nikoli ne bom ugotovila. :biggrin:

Verjetno vas še zanima, kako je z odstranjevanjem. Tako bom napisala, ima sindrome bleščičastega odstranjevanja, a je daleč od “krpice-težavno”. V bistvu je za toliko bleščic odstranjevanje zelo enostavno. Jupi! :nails:

Zagotovo bom naročila še kakšen odtenek, ker imajo “na zalogi” kar nekaj izredno zanimivih, privlačnih in morda celo unikatnih odtenkov! Kaj pa vi? So vam odtenki všeč? Imate v svoji zbirki morda že kakšnega BB Couture-čka? Če ja, delite svoje izkušnje z menoj! :wink:
