Review and swatches: Catrice Papagena LEOpis in ocena: Catrice Papagena LE

From the time I first saw Catrice Papagena promo material I could hardly wait for the goodies to come to the stores. So you can imagine how exited I was, to run into full stand in Austria. :w00t: I bought all the polishes for me and palette for Maestra.

The polish that I was most looking forward to is Welcome To the Jungle. I simply love this dark green shade and look at that shimmer! :wub: I used 2 coats + top coat.

The only other shimmery polish in this collection is Amazonian Gold. Color I like – something between old gold and bronze shade. But the formula … slightly streaky, clumps in polish, 3 coats for the full coverage. :ermm:

Surprisingly I loved Enter The Undergrowth. I’m not a huge fan of muted/army green shades, but this one is perfect – not to much yellow or blue, not to bright not to muted … And I think it looks good on me. :silly:
Formula is good to – one thicker layer is all you need. But of course I used two + top coat to make it look good with macro setting too. :biggrin:
Creme finish.

Bird Of Paradise is another great shade. Magenta-purple combo that brightens up my hands (more muted color in real life). Creme finish. 2 coats + top coat.

And did you see the caps on this polishes?!? They printed Catrice logo on the slightly rubberized cap and they used different color for each shade – the same shade and finish as the polish inside the bottle. :drop:

Other products in this collection didn’t impress me – lipsticks freaked me out with their see-through form, blushes were to “greasy”, blush is way to shimmery for me  …

Rumble In The Jungle is indeed a lovely palette. It looks nothing but adorable. I love the packaging and the patterns on the eyeshadows.

The good thing is that the quality of the eyeshadows is good too. I swatched all of them over an eyeshadow base.

Three of the eyeshadows are shimmery, while the purple one is almost matte. The most shimmery (bordering on glitter) is the gold one. For my taste the shimmer is a bit too big. I guess in the summer you could use this one as a face highlighter as well. Just use it “carefully”. All four of the eyeshadows applied nicely. The only one that was a bit harder to apply, was the light green one. But that’s not due to the lack of pigmentation rather than because the eyeshadow itself is hard and I had to rub a bit to get the desired effect (result). But once I realised that I just had to rub harder and that the eyeshadow is actually pigmented well, I had no problems with it anymore.

All in all I’m really happy with the eyeshadow palette. It’s a beautiful looking palette for a good price.Že odkar sem videla promo gradivo za Catrice Papagena, sem komaj čakala, da pridejo dobrote v trgovine. Lahko si mislite kako navdušena sem bila nad popolnoma polnim Papagena stojalom na katerega sem naletela v Avstriji. :w00t: Zase sem kupila vse lakce, za Maestro pa še paletko.

Lak, ki sem se ga najbolj veselila sliši na ime – Welcome To the Jungle. Prečudovita temno zelena barva s še lepšim šimrom. :wub: Uporabila sem dve plasti + nadlak.

Tudi Amazonian Gold vsebuje šimer. Barvno mi je sicer všeč, vendar je formula zgrešena. Prosojen (na fotografiji sem uporabila tri plasti), grudice v laku, progast nanos …. :ermm:

Presenetljivo se mi je zelo prikupil Enter The Undergrowth. Nisem ravno ljubiteljica zamolklih/vojaško zelenih odtenkov, vendar je tale odtenek za moje pojme perfekten – ne preveč rumen ali moder, ne preveč živ ali “ubit”. Pa še dobro izgleda na meni. :silly:
Tudi formula je doba – če uporabite debelejši sloj, potrebujete za polno prekrivnost le enega. Jaz sem zaradi makro fotografije uporabila 2 + nadlak.  :biggrin:
Krem finiš.

Bird Of Paradise je še eden lušten odtenek. Kombinacija magente in vijolične krasno poživi moje roke. V živo je odtenek malo bolj pridušen. Krem finiš, 2 plasti + nadlak.

Ste opazili pokrovčke?!? Catrice logo so odtisnili na, rahlo z gumo prekrite, pokrovčke in poleg vsega ime natisnili v barvi in finišu laka, ki se nahaja v steklenički. :drop:

Ostali izdelki v kolekciji me niso pretirano navdušili – “želejasta” konsistenca šmink me je kar prestrašila, rdečilo v sticku je precej “mastno”, blush zelo šimrast ….

Sedaj pa podij prepuščam Maestri in njeni srčkani paletki. :wave:

Rumble In The Jungle je resnično izredno luštna paleta. Na pogled je čudovita! Embalaža je krasna, prav tako pa mi je izredno všeč vzorec na senčilih.

Še dobro, da je tudi kvaliteta senčil dobra, kajne? :happy: Vsa senčila sem nanesla čez podlago za senčila.

Tri senčila so šimrasta, medtem ko je vijolično senčilo skoraj mat. Najbolj šimrasto (meji že na bleščičke) je zlato senčilo. Za moj okus je šimer prevelik. Zdi se, da bi senčilo poleti prav prišlo tudi kot osvetljevalec obraza. Paziti je treba le pri nanosu. Vsa senčila so se nanašala lepo. Pri nanosu se je najslabše obneslo svetlo zeleno senčilo. Kriva ni slaba pigmentiranost ampak dejstvo, da je senčilo trdo. Ko ugotoviš, da je potrebno le močneje podrgniti po njem, je vse OK. Barva je izredno lepa, pigmentiranost pa prav tako dobra.

V splošnem sem zelo zadovoljna s paleto senčil. Lepa paleta za ugodno ceno!
