Our reader Marta said that Tease-y Does It reminded her of another gorgeous polish Melanzana Glitter made by Collistar. Marta, thanks for your comment, I would never think of this comparison. And you know what? These polishes are indeed very close, but not dupes.

Polishes look nothing alike in the bottles. Only the shimmer or small flakes look similar.

After two coats on the nails the story is a bit different. They look very similar, although under strong light you can see the difference.

The application was easy with both of them. I prefer the Collistar brush. Melanzana Glitter is more pigmented than the Tease-y Does It. You’ll definitely need two good coats with Tease-y Does It, while Melanzana Glitter looks almost perfect with one carefully applied coat. Melanzana Glitter has darker base, it’s almost black. Tease-y Does It has dark purple-brown base with a bit of smokiness (best seen in the first photo).

While Tease-y Does It and Melanzana Glitter aren’t dupes, they are close. And for some close enough not to have both. For me, both are must haves for fall and winter as they look very cool on the nails – vampy but with visible shimmer.

To make this post even more interesting. Here are two konadicures I did with the Collistar – Melanzana Glitter polish.

First is a konadicure I already showed you here on Parokeets. Here Melanzana Glitter is used for stamping. Yes, it’s that pigmented that you can use it even for stamping.

Next is a konadicure I did for a Slovenian web site called ARS Cosmetica. Here’s a LINK to my article – sorry, article is only in Slovenian language, but there’s a lot of photos. :wink:

Naša bralka Marta je napisala, da jo Tease-y Does It spominja na čudovit lak Melanzana Glitter znamke Collistar. Marta, hvala za komentar, sama se ne bi nikoli spomnila na to primerjavo. In veš kaj? Laka, ki si ju omenila, sta si resnično podobna, čeprav nista dvojčka.

V steklenička si laka nista čisto nič podobna. Morda je še najbolj podoben šimer oziroma mini krpice.

Po dveh slojih na nohtih je zgodba drugačna. Laka sta si dejansko podobna, čeprav se pod močnejšo osvetlitvijo vidi razlika.

Nanos je bil pri obeh enostaven. Sama preferiram Collistarjev čopič. Melanzana Glitter je bolj pigmentiran kot Tease-y Does It. Pri slednjem boste zagotovo rabili dva dobra sloja za popolno prekrivnost, medtem ko pri Melanzana Glitter lahko zadostuje že en pazljivo nanešen sloj. Melanzana Glitter ima temnejšo osnovo (skoraj črno). Tease-y Does It pa ima vijolično-rjavo osnovo z rahlim pridihom zadimljenosti. Vem, da se to zelo čudno prebira, a morda vam bo pogled na prvo fotografijo dal idejo o tem, kaj mislim.

Čeprav Tease-y Does It nista dvojčka, sta si precej blizu. In za marsikoga bo zadostoval eden od njiju. Zame sta oba “must have” za jesen in zimo, saj izgledata izredno hudo na nohtih – “vampy” z vidnim šimrom.

Za popestritev tega prispevka bom za konec dodala še dve konadikuri, ki sem ju naredila že kar nekaj časa nazaj. Obe sta narejeni s pomočjo laka Melanzana Glitter.

Prvo konadikuro sem vam pokazala že skoraj eno leto nazaj. Melanzana Glitter sem uporabila za konadiranje. Ja, tako zelo je pigmentiran, da je dober tudi za konadiranje.

Tudi naslednjo konadikuro vas kar nekaj zagotovo že pozna. Naredila sem jo namreč za članek na portalu ARS Cosmetica. Tukaj je LINK do mojega članka. :wink:
