It is been a while since our American Apparel haul. :silly:Remember how Maestra placed them in line and made nail wheel swatches? What a beautiful sight. :stars:
Today I have for you swatches and descriptions of my part of the haul.
Coney Island: pretty pastel pink shade – not baby pink but wearable pink. :w00t:
Polish is quite thick, very opaque, 2 layers, creme finish.
L’Esprit: soft lilac colored – like lavender after the rain or washed out from the sun. Gorgeous pastel shade just right for the spring time. It look a little bit too blue in the photo.
This one is also thick, 2 layers, creme finish.
Butter: warm yellow shade, pastel, very good coverage, creme.
Office: the only one that stands out … and not in the good way – watery, 3 layers, hardly there green shade. It looks to green/almost turquoise in the photo.
Malibu Green: is my favorite. Turquoise/green shade with very good opacity, creme finish. 2 layers. :love:
Passport Blue: dark blue, opaque, 2 layers necessary. Creme finish.
All of the polishes are very opaque and have thick formula … except Office. I remember I had difficulties with application the first time (and I disliked the brush) I tried them out, but I had no such problems today. It’s harder to do the curve since the polishes are really thick, but that was the only minus. It is important to use thinner layers and stay clear from too much polish on the brush.
You have already seen the white shade – Cotton as I use it as a base for layering.

Koliko časa je že minilo od takrat, ko smo Parokeetke opravile nakup American Apparel lakov. :silly: Maestra jih je postavila v vrsto in naredila swatche na nail wheel-u. Kakšni lepotci. :stars:
Danes vam predstavljam bolj podroben opis in oceno omenjenih lakov.
Coney Island je prelepe pastelne roza barve, ni tista baby roza, ampak nosljiva roza. :w00t:
Lak je zelo gost, zelo prekriven, dva sloja, krem finiš.
L’Esprit je nežne lila barve, kot sivka sprana od dežja ali obledela od sonca. Prelep pastelen odtenek za prihajajočo pomlad. Na fotografiji je videti preveč moder.
Tudi ta je zelo gost, dva sloja, krem finiš.
Butter je tople rumene barve, pastelen, zelo prekriven, krem.
Office je edini, ki se popolnoma razlikuje od ostalih odtenkov: voden, slabo prekriven, komaj zaznavne zelene barve. Na fotografiji je že preveč zelen oz. že kar turkizen. Trije sloji.
Malibu Green je moj favorit. Gre za turkizno/zelen odtenek, zelo prekriven, krem, dva sloja. :love:
Passport Blue je temno moder, prekriven, a sta bila dva sloja obvezna. Finiš je krem.
Skupna lastnost vseh je, da so zelo gosti in dobro prekrivni, razen odtenka Office. Ko sem jih prvič preizkusila se spominjam, da sem jih zelo težko nanašala in da mi čopič ni bil všeč. Danes nisem imela teh problemov. Ker so gosti je bilo malo težje narediti okroglino, to pa je tudi vse. Pomembno je, da so sloji tanki in da s čopičem ne zajamemo preveč laka.
Belega Cotton ste že videle, ker ga uporabljam za podlago prosojnim lakom.
