Cream to powder. It is mattefying but not drying.
Light to medium, buildable.
With a buffing brush it is very easy to apply it. It covers well and it gives a natural matte to satin finish.
I’m in love with the packaging. It is genius. It is sleek, thin, black plastic. It looks like a bigger pocket mirror. You can rotate the lid in every direction which is impressive and very handy. The lid closes with a help of a magnet which is also very nice. There is a really big mirror inside and a space for a sponge.
Aroung 15 EUR for 6 g of product.
Right after application in the morning. Half of the face is without make up and the other half with Bourjois BB founadtion.
After 11 hours of wear.
Comparison with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in the shade 52 Vanilla. In the photo the shades are almost identical. I don’t even remember which one is which. 😀
I didn’t except a lot from this BB Cream Foundation, because all of the BB Creams I’ve tried so far failed to impress me. Either they were meant for oily skin and dried out my skin or they didn’t cover enough for my taste or they sunk into my large pores. Bourjois BB Cream Foundation is actually good. I was impressed by the coverage and the finish it gave to my skin. Although it is clearly a cream to powder product it didn’t dry out my skin. And I have to mention that my skin is very dry at the moment and this foundation didn’t accentuate my dry patches.
When I was testing I didn’t powder my skin and I also didn’t apply concealer or reapply foundation. I left it as it was for the rest of the day and waited eleven hours to see how it looked like. After eleven hours the foundation did wear off and my skin started to peek through. My whole face started to look a bit oily, but nothing major. Only the forehead was a bit too oily looking and I had to powder it.
The down side is there are only four shades available. I bought the lightest shade 21 Vanilla, which is very similar to the shade 52 Vanilla in the Healthy Mix Serum line. I have quite strong yellow undertone and the chosen shade is almost perfect for my skin tone at the moment.
Would I recommend it?
Yes. As an everyday foundation for a healthy looking skin and light make up it is great. The staying power isn’t the best, but isn’t bad either. Since my skin is very dry at the moment, I don’t know how it would react with oily skin. The big mirror is a big plus and I’m sure I’ll keep the packaging even after I use up the foundation, because it is very handy as a pocket mirror.
