Kelier Nail – Purple cracking nail polish. The name says it all. It’s purple and it cracks while it dries. And here’s how it looks like on top of a shimmery pink polish.

How it’s done?

1. Prep your nails.
2. Apply regular nail polish in a shade you’d like the cracks to be.
3. Wait until your nail polish is dry.
4. Apply one thin coat of cracking polish on top.
5. Wait a few minutes for the cracks to appear.
6. After the cracking polish is dry, apply a top coat!

And you are done with your “nail art“!

As you can see from the photos above, it’s not the same type of cracking polish as the Alessandro, OPI, Barry M, Isa Dora and China Glaze crackle polishes. I wrote down the differences (and similarities) in a table.

Dries slower.	Dries super fast.
Because of the dry time, I recommend thin coats.	If you like big cracks, apply thicker coat, if you like tiny cracks, apply thin coat.
Opaque in one coat.	Opaque in one coat.
Dries to a shiny finish.	Dries to a matte finish.
*It doesn’t work with some polishes.	No problems.
Without a top coat it chips very easily!	No top coat needed.

* I’ve had a problem with the Kelier nail polish, because it started to lift while it was drying. I suspected that the main reason for that was the fast drying top coat I put on top of my “base” color. The next time I tried the Kelier nail polish and left out the fast drying top coat it worked just fine. That’s why I’m assuming that the top coat was the reason for lifting. So, if you have problems with Kelier nail polish and you think it doesn’t work and you want to toss it in the garbage, try another brand of polish as a base polish. It worked for me.

Kelier Nail – Purple cracking nail polish. Če prevedemo ime, vemo skoraj vse o laku. Ja vijoličen in spada med “crackle” lake, tj. razpoka, ko se suši. Tako pa izgleda nanesen čez šimrast roza lak.

Kako se ga uporablja?

1. Pripravite nohte.
2. Nanesite običajen lak v odtenku, v katerem želite imeti razpoke.
3. Počakajte, da se posuši.
4. Nanesite tanko plast “crackle” laka.
5. Počakajte nekaj minut, da se naredijo razpoke.
6. Ko je lak suh, nanesite nadlak!

In že imate nanohtih čudovit “nail art“!

Iz gornjih fotografij je opaziti, da gre za drugačen tip razpokajočega laka kot so trenutno popularni “crackle” laki znamk Alessandro, OPI, Barry M, Isa Dora in China Glaze. Razlike (in podobnosti) sem napisal v tabeli spodaj.

Redkejši.	Gostejši.
Počasnejše sušenje.	Zelo hitro sušenje.
Zaradi počasnega sušenja, priporočam tanke plasti.	Če imate radi debele razpoke, nanesite debel sloj, če imate raje tanke razpoke, nanesite tanek sloj.
Prekriven v enem sloju.	Prekriven v enem sloju.
Posuši se v glossy finiš.	Posuši se v mat finiš.
*Ne deluje z vsemi laki.	Nobenih težav.
Brez nadlaka se zelo hitro okruši!	Nadlak niti ni nujno potreben.

* S Kelier lakom sem imela eno težavo. Začel se je namreč dvigovati, ko se je sušil. Sumila sem, da je problem v laku spodaj oz. da sta nekompatibilna. Sumim, da je krivec hitro sušeči nadlak, ki sem ga uporabila nad barvnim lakom. Naslednjič ko sem uporabila Kelier lak in izpustila vmesni nanos nadlaka, ni bilo nobenih težav. Lak je lepo razpokal in se ni dvigoval. Ravno zaradi tega sumim nadlak. Torej, če imate težave s Kelier lakom in mislite, da ne deluje ter ste tik pred tem, da ga zabrišete v koš, preizkusite ga še s kakšno drugo znamko barvnega laka. Meni je vsekakor pomagalo.
